1. Who we are
ThisCrush is an independently published iOS app. Contact: goreste90@gmail.com. Website: thiscrush.web.app.
2. What the app is
ThisCrush is an anonymous crush wall. You claim a username, receive posts and likes on your wall, comment, promote your profile with gems, and share a link. There is no dating swipe deck and no private inbox.
3. Data we collect
- Account. Username and password you choose, plus a Firebase Auth identifier used to keep you signed in.
- Profile. Optional photo, optional Instagram handle, gem balance, last active time, whether you appear in Discover, and promote expiry.
- Wall content. Crush posts, comments, likes, and the usernames attached to them. A crush can name someone without revealing who wrote it.
- Safety. Users you block, users who blocked you, and reports you send.
- Notifications. A push token so we can send like, post, comment, and gem alerts. You can disable these in iOS Settings.
- Purchases. Gem packs are sold through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment. We store that your account received gems, not your full card number.
- Referrals. If you open a referral link, we store the referring username on your device so both of you can receive bonus gems after signup.
- Diagnostics. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may collect device type, app version, and crash traces so we can fix the app.
- Photos. If you pick a profile photo or attach an image to a post, that file is uploaded to Firebase Storage. The camera and library stay on your device unless you choose an image.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We use processors that host the product:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Hosting), typically in the United States.
- Apple for App Store distribution, In-App Purchase, push delivery, and optional analytics Apple collects on its platforms.
Other people using ThisCrush can see public profile fields and wall posts you publish. They cannot see your password.
5. How long we keep it
Account and wall data stay until you ask us to delete the account, or until we close the service. Crash logs are kept for a short diagnostic window. Purchase records follow Apple's retention rules.
6. Your choices
- Edit your photo and Instagram handle in the profile editor.
- Hide from Discover in the app (your wall link still works if someone has it).
- Block a user so you stop seeing each other.
- Turn off notifications in iOS Settings.
- Request a copy or deletion of your account by emailing goreste90@gmail.com from a message that includes your ThisCrush username. We will delete or anonymize the account and associated wall content unless we must keep a narrow record of abuse or a purchase.
7. Children
ThisCrush is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child created an account, email us and we will remove it.
8. International users
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar region, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your data, and you can lodge a complaint with your local authority. The lawful bases we rely on are contract (running the account you asked for) and legitimate interests (keeping the wall safe and the app stable).
9. This website
thiscrush.web.app serves the marketing pages, this policy, support, terms, and Universal Links that open the iOS app. Hosting logs may include IP address and user agent for a short time. Share paths /u/{username} and /r/{username} exist so iOS can open the matching wall or credit a referral.
10. Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL, which is also the Privacy Policy URL on the App Store listing.
